Australian PM takes a tumble

Now, any inquisitive person with a basic interest in politics, or a person with a subversive hatred of their own government, if they saw this;

would be asking them selves, "does every country turn their leader into the number one article on the evening news because he tripped over going up a flight of stairs?"

Well, I think we could assume with reasonable success, that this man would feature on the top news headline of his country for tripping over...

But you could safely guess that this man probably wouldn't...

I thought nthe pic of the PM's tumble is a wonderful metaphor his political disasters of the past few weeks - he tripped up over Haneef, the Aboriginal child abuse "crisis", his handling of Costello.... etc, etc.

I loved the comment by his wife that he didn't break his word over the leadership handover to Peter Costello a few elections ago because, as she said, her husband doesn't make commitments.

Well, I thought, at least one person in the famioly is honest.

Cheers

It's time for a tumble in the election booths - I hope!

No sympathy for him. He's OZLAND's Macbeth.

MacDuff where are you?

On Thursday night, on way home from work, I intervened in an attack on a young Indian Sikh on student visa working for phone co door to door. He was chased, terrorosed, shoved roughly to the ground, had headscarf pulled off and work folder stolen. Rang OOO. Po9lice rang back half an hour later to say no personnel. For twenty mins of that waiting time, the youth gang were still lurking in the area, woman watching through window... His boss came to get him and 5 mins down the road there was a divvy van booking someone for speeding. Where were they when we needed them for public safety.

Relevance to topic? He looked a little like Dr Haneef. Howard and media (repeated images of Dr Haneef- subliminal messages?)have a lot to answer.
